Teaches grades 2 - 3 the importance of choosing healthy foods, different ways the weather affects their lives, how to keep themselves safe in public places and the importance of living safely and avoiding unnecessary risks. This program helps children develop a positive self-image based on a feeling of being confident and capable.

I'm Peer Proof

Grades 4 - 6

I'm Peer Proof offers hand-on activities that teach grades 4 - 6 skills to resist negative peer pressure, be assertive, and maintain positive friendships. This program uses role-playing, skill practice, discussion and problem solving as teaching techniques. It is designed to teach children how to maintain friendships, react toward friends when faced with issues of cheating, stealing, teasing, fighting, trying drugs, cigarettes, and rebelling against their parents.

I'm Taking Care

Grades 5 - 8

Created for youth 11 years old and older interested in becoming baby-sitters. This course teaches babysitting skills and prepares sitters to handle baby-sitting as a business. This course covers: taking responsibility for themselves and others, entertaining children, first aid and safety, emergency measures, nutrition and food safety, disciplining, communication with parents and how to find a baby-sitting job.

A Gift of Giving

A Gift of Giving, a service-learning program, teaches children grades K-8, about community service through hands-on experience. A Gift of Giving personalizes remote problems and makes them real; it bridges the gap between the giver and the receiver so that the children feel a direct relationship to people they help.
